Spinner Dolphins along the Kona Coast. We offer a small group experience with no more than six passengers, allowing for personal attention paid to every guest. Swimmers of any ability can have extraordinary encounters. Just let us know your ability and we will come prepared with flotation devices. We accommodate young children, Seniors, and some special needs - just let us know of any needs in advance! Hawaiian Spinner Dolphins are the most regular visitors to the shores along the Kona coast. Almost daily, they come into near-shore areas, to rest, play and interact. Nearly everyone, of all ages and snork-ability, can swim with the dolphins. This is rated by all accounts as a phenomenal experience. Our team will take you on a customized half-day morning tour in the waters where dolphins play and rest. We will share our experiences of swimming with the dolphins and discuss techniques for best viewing and snorkeling to experience close and respectful contact with our finned friends. Your four-hour morning tour, or a six-hour combo excursion to Capt. Cook’s Monument at Kealakekua Bay Marine Preserve, will include a friendly and knowledgeable swim guide, snorkel equipment, fresh fruit and pastries, soft drinks, bottled water, a deli sandwich or wrap, chips, and cookies.

January 6, 2016, while Captain Ray and Vicki were traveling home after a wonderful holiday in Florida, a wonderful group 12 of friends, gathered together by Margaret O'Connor, departed Honokohau for a Dolphin Swim Adventure with Swim Guides Shelly, Cyndi, and Joni. Most of the group, coming from Minnesota had never seen a whale let alone swim with a dolphin and did not know what to expect. Nature did not let them down. I want to share Margaret's note to me after the trip.

! I just wanted to let you know that our dolphin swim/whale watching was AMAZING! It was everything we were hoping it would be and more!
Not only did we swim with dolphins which was an incredible experience, but we lost count of how many whales we saw after 10! One of the people in our group is a great photographer and got a perfect photo of a whale breaching.

In addition to seeing everything we hoped to see, the staff was fantastic! All 3 guides (Shelly, Cindy and Joni) were so great, as were Mike and Chris, they were very knowledgeable, but also fun and friendly. We were all very impressed that they learned all 12 of our names in a very short time frame! And, it was so nice to be waited on...we weren't expecting that, but it was a nice bonus! So, all in all it was a fantastic morning. It is one of those family memories that will never be forgotten...the excitement and enthusiasm of our "kids" was worth every penny!
