Yesterday, we received remarkable donations and would like to extend our appreciation to the Kalama & Friends for Justice organization for their role in collecting donations from the Generous community, a husband and wife who preferred to remain anonymous, and Steelscape for their purchase of 100 turkeys in support of our Thanksgiving Distribution. Two outstanding events are on the horizon for Kalama Helping Hand. Walk n Knock is scheduled for Saturday, October 4th; kindly prepare your donations for porch pickup or bring them to Kalama Helping Hand. The Annual Coat Drive is now active; please bring your donations to Kalama Helping Hand on Mondays from 8am to 12pm and Tuesdays from 8am to 1pm. We acknowledge the efforts of volunteers, organizers, and donors. 🧡🖤

Beginning Tuesday, September 9th, the Kalama Helping Hand Food Bank will be open weekly from 9am to 1pm for food distribution. Donations are welcome on Mondays between 8am and 12pm.

What a year it's been for Kalama Helping Hand!! Including a large increase in families and individuals needing food, new guidelines to follow, a successful Coat Drive and Walk n Knock, welcoming new volunteers and losing one of our favorite, Joann Wright. She is missed! We would like to Thank all the Wonderful businesses who contributed with donations including: Temco, Kalama Fire Dept., Mountain Timber Market and Bloom Cake Studio, Kalama Sourdough, Kalama Telephone Company, Kalama Library, Gena Graham Home Real Estate, Lanxess, Woodland Safeway, Kalama Lions Club, Amalaks,Kalama School District, and The Car Club.
