“Tolerance”

"The time has passed for civility"

Wow. We are disappointed that the WMU College Democrats have decided to condemn civility and bipartisan participation, while declaring that our diverse and growing community of Trump supporters is "not welcome on campus."

This was in response to the Kalamazoo Trump Victory Field Organizer Taylor Frasier speaking to a political science class about her experience with the WMU Capital Internship Program and local campaign opportunities.

WMUGOP stands with President Montgomery and his support of free speech on campus. The WMU Civility Statement declares, "As an institution of higher learning, we welcome a diverse range of perspectives and opinions and uphold the importance of civil debate." Hearing from people you disagree with politically is a reality of life, and WMU professors should not be bullied into only allowing the far left to have a platform.

College Republicans maintain our commitment to civility and respectful engagement, and hope our friends on the left can put aside partisan differences and do the same.

Shoutout to everyone who came out to WMU to watch the Democrat Debate and enjoyed some political discussion over $3 chicken tender baskets!
