For those with water issues there may be help available.

The City of Kalamazoo Emergency Management, Public Safety, and Housing Departments are conducting damage assessments today in affected neighborhoods. At the same time, City of Kalamazoo Public Services crews are pumping pooled water from low-lying areas and offering free water removal from homes for residents who need assistance.

Please note: free water removal from residential basements is being provided at this time due to the current Local Declaration of Emergency and State Declaration of Emergency. This service is specific to this incident and is not typically available for routine basement flooding.

If you need help—such as water pumping or access to other resources—please speak with a crew in your neighborhood, call the Kalamazoo County Consolidated Dispatch non-emergency number, or report your needs using the Emergency Management survey tool at the link below:
