Charter Township of Texas

Charter Township of Texas Welcome to Texas Township! A place where community, nature, and opportunity come together. Follow along for all the updates!

Stay in the loop with events, local highlights, and everything that makes our township unique. Texas Township was founded in 1838 and continues to be one of the most sought after communities for families, young professionals, and retirees in Kalamazoo County. The diverse landscape of Texas Township has been strategically developed to meet the needs of families, businesses and farms, while offering

low taxes. Young families can find a variety of affordable housing options and residents are served by four award-winning school districts. We’re home to many local businesses and strive to meet the needs of our residents by offering a host of services such as a local Farmers’ Market committed to providing fresh and local foods, seasonal shred days, holiday events, and more. Whether you’re a young family looking for a place to plant roots, or a retired couple looking for a community to get involved with, we believe you’ll find a variety of reasons why you’ll want to call Texas Township home.

Proper flag retirement is a respectful tradition, and we’re proud to have two local businesses that help make that easy for our community. If you have a worn or weathered flag you'd like to retire, there are two drop-off boxes located in Downtown Texas Corners.
