Available for adoption…. Zoey, a Bulli mix, black with white, 50lb, 4 yrs old, female. Zoey has been updated on vaccinations, heartworm tested negative , microchipped, and on flea/tick/heart worm prevention. Zoey has a spay appointment at our shelter vet that the adopter must transport her to, but is included with her $50 adoption fee. Zoey is good with cats and kids of all ages. Zoey was having an issue with her sister dog and that was the reason for her owners surrendering her. We are uncertain if she will be good with other dogs. Here at the shelter she has had no issues with other dogs, near her. Zoey is very housetrained and keeps her kennel very clean! Zoey was use to recalling in her yard without a fence once boundaries were established. If you may be interested in adopting Zoey walk in adoption are 10am-1pm, everyday including weekends.

Do you know my owner? Found on Valley Rd near Rapid City, now safe at Kalkaska Animal Control/Shelter. Rottweiler, female, wearing collar, no ID, she is microchipped, (we are working to get all that information). Owner claims are 10am-1pm EVERYDAY.

Do you know my owners? Found at large Plum Valley Rd/Innis Rd area. Bulli mix, neutered male, brindle in color, wearing a collar, no ID, and no microchip. If you have any information please call and leave a message at (231)258-3309. Owner may claim everyday of the week 10am-1pm.

UPDATE…. Mackie has a family that has put a pending adoption on him and has had several meet/greets with him. We do have a couple more potential adopters that have met him. He will have surgery this Friday and will be adopted afterwards.

Available for meet/greets and pending adoption…..Mackie is scheduled for a vet appointment on 08/28/26 for a neuter, vaccination updates, heart worm test, and a microchip. He will be available for adoption once updated on medical. He is housetrained, 80lbs(trim will be 90lbs+) knows some basic commands, and good with adults. He came to us as a stray so we are learning about him everyday. Mackie MAYBE good with children, cats, or dogs but currently we are recommending only pet and no young kids. THIS may change as we get to know him more. We do know he LOVES his ball, he carries it around and it seems to help calm him right down when he is excited! He’s also is great at playing fetch!! Potential adopters may come and do a meet/greet and leave their information if interested in adopting once vetted(that will leave his status as pending adoption, until vetting is complete). Meet/greets are EVERYDAY 10am-1pm(including weekends).

‼️Senior Dog‼️…. Piper is still looking for her home for her golden years. Piper is a spayed female, red bone, 10 yr old. Piper has had senior bloodwork, dental work, recent vaccinations and microchipped. Piper may do well with a dog of same size but NO little dogs or cats. Piper has been raised with kids and is good with them but I think she may prefer a home without kids. Piper does require a fenced yard!!! Piper’s instinct to hunt will take her traveling!!! She is calm, low energy,and LOVES to be inside(she is an air condition queen!), but her nose can get her in trouble outside. If you can give Piper a home please reach out to us or walk in adoptions are everyday 10am-1pm. Dog adoption fee is $50.
