KIYE 88.7 and 105.5 Vision: The Niimiipuu Voice of the Past, Present and Future. Mission:To inform, educate and entertain listeners from the Heart of the Nez Perce Homeland

KIYE a non-commercial public radio station owned and operated by the Nez Perce Tribe, began broadcasting over the Nez Perce Reservation from our studios in Kamiah, Idaho on August 1, 2011. Our studios are located in Kamiah with our main transmitter located near Craigmont. We broadcast across the reservation and far into the Nezperce and Clearwater National Forests. KIYE’s focus is on developing Ni

imiipuu language and storytelling programs, local public affairs, news and educational features. Our music includes local and national pow wow, flute and other Native offerings; a daily blues/jazz program; Oldies, Motown, Classic rock; and all Native Voice 1 programs. To date, we locally produce three programs: Northwest Song Shack, that focuses on talent from the northwest, offering writers and artists from the northwest that have not, as yet, been “Discovered”, Calling All Warriors, featuring contemporary native and on native faith based selections, hosted by a past pastor of the First Indian Presbyterian Church and Malt Shop Memory, a trivia packed one half hour with musical offerings from the 50's and 60's.

Taboo (Shoshone, Hopi, and Mexican) wore multiple custom beadwork pieces by Afro-Indigenous artist Mikailah of the nimîipuu (Nez Perce) Nation during the 2026 American Music Awards.

The Black Eyed Peas accepted the award for Best Throwback Song for “Rock That Body” during the ceremony, which also featured a reunion with former member Fergie.

The custom set by Beadwork by Mikhaila included holsters, a medallion, earrings, and additional turquoise beadwork pieces worn on stage by Taboo.

According to Beadwork by Mikhaila, Mikailah’s contemporary work is rooted in teachings passed down by her grandmother, Chloe Halfmoon.
