Ringing in the New Year with History.

The Kane Memorial Chapel was constructed in 1876, when America was celebrating its 100th birthday. This year, we proudly mark the 250th anniversary of our nation. 🇺🇸

The Chapel is the second-oldest building in Kane and one of only two buildings ever entered by Thomas & Elizabeth Kane, the other being the Depot.

This special video was captured by board member Dick Bly, who recorded the bell tower ringing in the New Year at midnight.

Here’s to preserving the past while welcoming the future.

The Bell of Freedom Will Ring Again!

Renovations on the Kane Memorial Chapel Bell Tower are nearly complete and soon, the historic bell will ring once more! It’s believed the bell last rang in the 1970s, making this restoration a truly special moment for our community.

This project has been made possible through the support of many, including:
✨ ANF Visitors Bureau Trail Central
✨ Kane Historic Preservation Society
✨ Andy Kane
✨ The late Holley Cataldo
✨ And generous donations from fundraising events and community members

We are deeply grateful for the continued support in preserving and sharing Kane’s unique history.

Stay tuned — the sound of the Bell of Freedom will soon echo through Kane once again.
