Kaneville Public Library Kaneville Public Library is a tax-supported, civic institution providing books, materials and resources to Kaneville Township residents.

Serving as a focal point for the community, the Library welcomes residents to visit us. The Kaneville Public Library is a small Library serving residents with a range of materials including a Children's Room, a small young adult collection, fiction and non-fiction materials for adults, audiobooks and DVD's. We have public access computers including wi-fi along with a copier available for our publi

c. Our holdings include almost 19,000 print items, with additional access to the holdings of other Library collections through our participation in a consortium of Libraries. We regularly obtain materials from other locations. Please ask a friendly staff member for help and you may register at our front desk for a Library card. Library Sponsored Social Media:

Attention Patrons!
Nicor will be doing some work around the building starting Monday, March 30th. Parking may be tricky at times, but we will do our best to meet your needs during the week.

We're sharing information from the Kaneville Fire Department to give you more details about the upcoming work that will be done.

Miss Laura's storytimes on Friday March 27th, and Friday April 3rd will be cancelled. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Nicor Gas will be starting a project on March 30, 2026 at the community center. The work is expected to last approximately two weeks.

The project area will begin at the northeast corner of Main St. and Harter Rd., extending south along Harter Rd. to the playground. Additional work will also take place near the intersection of Main St. and Dauberman Rd.

During this time, there will be no parking permitted in front of the community center along Harter Rd. and Main St. Alternative parking will be available in the lot with the pavilion, as well as at the library entrance.

Work will occur in the parking lot, sidewalks, and adjacent grass areas. Flaggers will be present to assist with both pedestrian and vehicle traffic around the community center to help ensure safety.

We appreciate your patience and cooperation during this project.

Tuesday, Feb. 10 at 5:30 we will be hosting a Jane Austen themed tea party with tea, lemonade, and treats.

Thursday, Feb. 12 at 5:30 our YA/New Adult book club will meet to discuss the Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo.

Friday, February 13 at 11am will be our storytime with Miss Laura.
