Join us for our Ice Paint Party on Thursday, July 2 from 7:30–9:00 pm and help us send off the season in the most colorful way possible! Doodle, draw, handprint, scribble, or create your masterpiece right on the ice before we take it out for the summer.

Please wear grippy shoes for safety on the ice, plus clothes that can handle a little painty fun. 😉

🌙 Twilight Bingo Weather Update 🌙

Twilight Bingo is still planned for tonight. However, with the potential for severe weather in our area, we ask everyone to put safety first. Please only travel if you feel comfortable with the road conditions where you are.

If no participants have arrived by 6:30 pm, staff will close the program and head home for the evening.

Thank you for your flexibility, and please make the choice that is safest for you. 💙

Out of an abundance of caution due to the severe weather expected tomorrow, Party in the Parks (Strasma Park) originally scheduled for Wednesday, June 17 has been rescheduled. The new date is Tuesday, August 4 from 4:00–7:00 pm.

We know summer schedules fill up fast, and we appreciate everyone’s understanding as we make this decision with the safety of our guests, staff, vendors, and community partners in mind.

We can’t wait to bring the fun to Strasma Park in August! 🌳☀️

A little rain won’t stop something beautiful from taking flight. 🦋🌿

Yesterday, our Summer Kamp kids helped prepare the MCA Intergenerational Butterfly Garden for today’s Dedication & Butterfly Release Ceremony by assisting with the butterfly enclosures.

MCA Senior Adult Day Center's ceremony remains scheduled for today at 11:00 am at Bird Park (893 W. Station St., Kankakee). Tents have been set up for guest comfort, and if needed, the butterfly release may be delayed briefly to let a passing shower move through. The ceremony itself will continue as planned.

We’re excited to celebrate this special community project with our seniors, families, partners, and neighbors.

We’re bringing the summer fun to Strasma Park! ☀️🌳Join us on Wednesday, June 17 from 4:00–7:00 pm for Party in the Parks, a free family evening with activities, music, food, and community fun.

A big thank you to House of Brooks for sponsoring the evening and bringing the music! 🎶 KVPD staff will also be grilling burgers and hot dogs while supplies last.

Rollin' Out will be joining us with optional roller skating fun. Please note that roller skating requires an additional fee handled directly by Rollin’ Out.

Bring the family, invite the neighbors, and come enjoy a summer night at Strasma Park!

Safe to say our Summer Kamp kids bounced right into summer! ☀️🏰

We had so much fun celebrating our first week of camp with help from our friends at Bounce W Us. From the moment the bounce houses went up, the smiles never stopped. 😁
