We are so proud to recognize four of our amazing McKnight CDC students — Alisson, Asher, Jonah, and Indy — for achieving Perfect Attendance during the 2025–2026 school year! 🎉📚

This accomplishment is also a special recognition of the families who made daily attendance a priority and helped their children arrive at school each day ready to learn, grow, and succeed. Establishing strong attendance habits at an early age builds the foundation for future success, and we appreciate the dedication and support these families have shown throughout the school year. ❤️

Today we are celebrating two incredible members of our McKnight CDC family — Monica Leek and Asia Wheeler!

Thank you both for the love, patience, encouragement, and expertise you pour into our students each and every day. Your work helps children find their voices, build confidence, strengthen communication skills, and reach meaningful milestones in so many ways.

🌞 What a wonderful day at our McKnight CDC End-of-Year Summer Kickoff Family Picnic! 🧺🦋

Today’s picnic was a HUGE hit! The children had an amazing time playing together, enjoying the beautiful weather, and sharing lots of delicious food with friends and families. ☀️🍉🌭

A HUGE thank you to everyone who came out to celebrate with us, brought food and snacks to share, and especially to our awesome Grill Masters who kept everyone fed and happy! 🔥👏

We loved seeing our McKnight community come together for such a fun afternoon filled with laughter, smiles, and special memories. 🧡

🎓❤️ Today we are celebrating two very special members of our McKnight CDC family! ❤️🎓

Congratulations to Debbie Becker and Kara McCracken on graduating from Rowan-Cabarrus Community College today with their Associate Degrees in Early Childhood Education!

Debbie and Kara have both been part of the McKnight CDC team for the past 3.5 years and have also dedicated several additional years to serving students and families within KCS. While continuing to work full time, they have also balanced attending school full time along with the many responsibilities of life outside of work — a true testament to their dedication, perseverance, and love for children and education.

We are incredibly proud of all they have accomplished and grateful for the care, support, and commitment they show our students each and every day. Please join us in congratulating Debbie and Kara on this amazing achievement! 🎉👏📚🍎

Today’s Tacos on Thursday lunch was a huge hit! 🌮 Thank you to a generous McKnight parent and Carolina Portrait Pros for sponsoring such an amazing meal for our staff!

A special thank you to our wonderful McKnight Parent Committee members who helped deliver meals straight to classrooms and offices to make the day even more special. Our staff absolutely loved it!

Underground Staff Spirit Week also continued today with Twin Day, and the matching outfits did not disappoint! 👯✨
