The Run Kannapolis and Loop the Loop programs are perfect ways to Discover a Healthy Life in Kannapolis, NC. Run Kannapolis: Runners and walkers of all ages and abilities are invited to participate in the Run Kannapolis series featuring the best 5K runs/walks in the city. Each run is held in Kannapolis and most runs include a one-mile fun run and Strides for Stroke will include a new 10K option. J

oin the thousands of people who have participated in Run Kannapolis over the years. Run Kannapolis is part of the City of Kannapolis’ Discover a Healthy Life brand. Loop the Loop: The City of Kannapolis’ Loop the Loop Program is a fun way to track the distance of your walks, runs, or bike ridse. For every mile you complete you are on your way to earning great prizes. Follow the signs and sidewalk markers as you complete the loops around downtown Kannapolis and at each Kannapolis school. You can print a map of the loops by visiting the City’s website. Loop the Loop is part of the City's Discover a Healthy Life Initiative and the Cabarrus Health Alliance REACH program.

Lace up, Kannapolis! 👟 The 2026 Run Kannapolis 5K Series is here!

This year’s series features eight races — including returning favorites and a new race, the Towel City Tavern 5K. Runners and walkers of all ages and abilities are invited to join the fun, with most races also offering a one-mile fun run.

Even better? Proceeds support local nonprofits, and if you complete all eight races you could earn unique prizes from the City of Kannapolis.
