❤️ Red Ribbon Week! ❤️

KCKCCPD joined students and staff in recognizing Red Ribbon Week and promoting the importance of making healthy, responsible choices!

Students and staff had the opportunity to try out impairment simulation goggles and experience how alcohol can affect vision, balance, and coordination.

Red Ribbon Week serves as an important reminder of the dangers of drug and alcohol use and the importance of living a healthy, drug-free lifestyle.

Make smart choices, stay drug-free, and look out for one another. Remember, your choices matter!

Together, we can help keep our campus and community safe! ❤️💙

Last week, the Kansas City Kansas Community College Police Department had the privilege of hosting the FBI-LEEDA Five Star Chief Executive Leadership Institute, led by two amazing instructors, Dr. Todd Radford and Dr. Ben Boeke.

In addition to hosting, Interim Chief Roland and Sergeant Bailie were among the law enforcement professionals in attendance. The training focused on executive leadership, strategic decision-making, organizational management, and the challenges facing today’s law enforcement leaders.

It was a great opportunity to strengthen leadership skills, share experiences, and build relationships with professionals from other agencies.

We look forward to hosting the second week of the Chief Executive Leadership Institute at the end of November, continuing our commitment to leadership development and professional growth.

Wednesday morning, Sgt. Swearingen had the privilege of teaching CPR and First Aid to the High Voltage Lineman class at TEC 1.

Students received hands-on instruction and practiced important life-saving skills that can make a difference during an emergency. For students preparing to enter the high-voltage lineman profession, knowing how to recognize an emergency, provide immediate care, and perform CPR is an important part of being prepared on the job.

KCKCC PD is proud to partner with our campus programs and provide training that helps keep our students and community safe. 💙
