Last week I spoke with some amazing student athletes at Washington High School - KCKPS Basketball for their summer programming. I shared a a bit of my story and took their questions. The hardest question I was asked was who my top 5 was and apparently I am mistaken. 🤷🏾‍♂️

The Smithsonian’s Americans exhibit has officially arrived at the Wyandotte County Historical Museum!

The museum will be open daily from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM from May 30 through July 5, giving you plenty of opportunities to experience this unique Smithsonian exhibition right here in Wyandotte County.

Bring your family and friends and come explore Americans this summer!

What a great way to start the weekend. Turner Diagonal is open on all sides!

🚧 We saw the Kansas City Kansas Fire Department- KCKFD's post about the Turner Diagonal being fully open today, but we had to see it for ourselves. We are thrilled to report that IT'S TRUE!! Best. Day. Ever.

Thank you to all of our families, especially the ones that live around Turner Sixth Grade Academy, for your patience as our transportation staff navigated the road closures and the train schedule during this process. We are so glad the construction is done!

UG Offers New KCK Homes for Generations Program

Recently, the Unified Government Board of Commissioners passed a Community Benefits Ordinance, creating a Community Benefits Fund to be funded from fees received from development projects that have received economic development incentives.

One of the programs housed within the UG Clerk's Office is the "Kansas City, Kansas Homes for Generations Program." This program assists qualified homeowners correct legal ownership (title) of homes that have been passed down through generations but are not legally in the current occupant's name. Costs associated to correct title may be paid from the fund.
