Excellence Through Equity
Equity by definition is the quality of being fair or impartial-providing what is needed for all to be

successful. When any student, family or neighborhood is shown partiality or unfairness due to socio-economic standing, beliefs, race, culture, gender identity, sexual orientation or diverse learning needs, our community as a whole simply cannot be as valuable and great as it should be. I will work to incorporate the needs, requests and unheard voices into every district action item to increase equity for all. Excellence Through Belonging
All humans, but especially our youth, have a need to connect with others and be socially accepted. If our students do not feel that they truly are a part of the student body, proudly calling themselves a “Trojan” or a “Panther,” for example, then there is disconnect. I will work for all families and their students to truly belong to Park Hill, so that internal motivation drives success. Excellence Through Rigorous Learning
Ask any Park Hill administrator or educator about rigorous learning and discover the passion they have to set our students up for success and bright futures. I will work for teachers to have the necessary training, academically and socially, to confidently and rigorously teach our students.

Park Hill School District Convocation was AWESOME, celebrating its 75th year! I had the honor of addressing the district's staff and wishing them a wonderful school year!!! One of the best parts this year, besides having the year kickoff event in Park Hill High School 's new gymnasium, was that EVERYONE was wearing the same shirt--there was an strong connection of unity.💚🤎💙🧡

Happy Convocation and many blessings for a fantastic 2026-27 school year with much success, belonging, and perseverance. Here we go!!

The start of August was in high gear and busy, but I wouldn't want it any other way. Our community is great!
Aug 3rd:The board had an all-day retreat to begin a second book's discussion, walked through Park Hill South High School construction projects, and other topics to prepare for the new school year.

Aug 4th: I attended district DEIB Council retreat and Election Day! 🗳 ☑️ 🎊

Aug 9th: I attend Washington Chapel Restoration. Homecoming Service, where I had the honor and opportunity to speak about Angeline Washington Elementary naming process (and wear my t-shirt . . . Go Owls!).

Aug 10th: I welcomed Park Hill School District new teachers. Thank you to the Trojan and Panther bands and cheerleaders for their their upbeat and grand reception as new teachers entered PH LEAD Innovation Studio.

Next week is convocation and the first day of school is August 24th!
It is going to be a great year! Happy 75th Anniversary Park Hill!!!💚❤️🧡💙🤎

Income taxes from Missouri residents provides about 60% of steady money into the state's general revenue fund, which funds not only schools but community services and more that we all need. Amendment 5 would eliminate the income tax and ultimately increase sales tax.
Do your research and vote 🗳 [early voting has started and Election Day is August 4th check ✅️].

On June 27th, Washington Chapel Restoration. had its grand re-opening. There was barely standing room with so many community members and supporters.💚 It was a beautiful event! If you want to see the chapel and/or attend services, you may do so each Sunday at 1:30p.

By choosing not to provide alcohol to your teen, you are in the vast majority of Northland parents! It can be a frustrating & confusing situation to navigate if you learn an adult is putting teens at risk.

Visit our website to learn what you can do when other adults provide alcohol to minors, including how to use our Parent Warning Letter resource: https://ParentUpKC.com/Tools
