Platte County Senior Fund join communities around the world in recognizing World Elder Abuse Awareness Day and raising awareness about the importance of protecting older adults from abuse, neglect, and exploitation.

We are honored that the Platte County Senior Fund received a proclamation from Mayor Dean Katerndahl and the City of Parkville recognizing June 15 as World Elder Abuse Awareness Day.

This proclamation serves as a reminder that every older adult deserves to be treated with dignity, respect, and compassion. Together, we can help prevent elder abuse by staying informed, checking in on older adults, and speaking up when we see signs of abuse or neglect.

Thank you to Mayor Katerndahl and the City of Parkville, MO for helping shine a light on this important issue and for supporting the well-being of older adults throughout our community.
