Friday night was about more than football. During halftime of the Ruskin Varsity Football Game, HMC-1 celebrated a special group of alumni who have returned home to serve the next generation of students as teachers, administrators, and staff members.

These alumni aren't just part of our history. They're helping shape our future. 💛🖤

🔥 Two Weeks Down, and Hickman Mills Middle School Knows How to Celebrate! 🎉

What better way to wrap up the first two weeks of school than with a little school spirit, some friendly competition, and A LOT of cheering?!

🏀 Seventh Grade vs. Eighth Grade: Students battled it out in a basketball challenge that required teamwork, speed, and plenty of shots. The teams of four kept dribbling and shooting until they could knock down their baskets.

🏆 And the winner? SEVENTH GRADE! Way to go!

The celebration continued as school leaders recognized amazing students AND staff, plus students participating in fall activities and athletics. From music and robotics to football and more, HMMS students had a chance to be recognized and cheered on by their classmates.

🍪 Then came the Minute-to-Win-It Oreo Challenge, giving students and staff one more reason to laugh, compete, and have a little fun together!

Two weeks in, and the Eagles are already showing what school spirit looks like. We can't wait to see what's next! 💙

Generation Rap (G-Rap) is coming back to Hot 103 Jamz this October, and they’re looking for the next generation of creators, storytellers, journalists, leaders, influencers, and authentic teen voices.

This isn’t just another after-school activity. It’s a chance to step behind the mic and:

TONIGHT’S GAME TIME HAS CHANGED!

Ruskin Eagles fans, we’re kicking things back just a little tonight! Due to the heat, tonight’s Varsity Football game between Ruskin High School and Winnetonka High School will now kick off at 7:30 pm.

Tonight’s Schedule:
• Gates Open: 6:30 pm
• Kickoff: 7:30 pm
• Location: Ruskin High School

ALUMNI NIGHT IS STILL ON! During halftime, we’ll celebrate some of the amazing HMC-1 alums who have returned to serve the district they once called home. These former students are now making a difference as educators, staff members, and leaders across HMC-1.

☕🎙️🚛 When Learning Becomes Reality, Big Things Happen! At HMC-1's Real-World Learning Center, students aren't just learning about the real world. They're experiencing it.

☕ The Mill Café celebrated its first anniversary, giving students hands-on experience running a real business.

🎙️ Keeping It Real at the Mill launched as a student-led podcast, giving students a platform to find their voice, tell their stories, and build real-world communication skills.

🚛 And in a truly groundbreaking moment, the first two graduates of our HMC-1 CDL program became the first known high school students in the country to earn their Commercial Driver's Licenses.
