Did you know that more than a dozen KCPS schools have Girls on the Run programs?

GOTR brings 3rd through 5th grade girls together to inspire self-confidence and improve life skills.

By mixing physical activity with lessons in empathy, managing emotions, and building friendships, teams walk away from the end-of-season 5k run with a shared sense of accomplishment.

Thank you to the members of the Hale Cook Elementary community who supported the GOTR program at Golfing for Girls on the Run ⛳

If you know a 3rd-5th grade student who might be interested in GOTR, or a 6th-8th grade student interested in the program for older girls (Heart & Sole), visit www.GOTRKC.org.

We're proud to have had four schools in Kansas City's debut Disney Musicals in Schools season.

Gladstone Elementary performed "The Lion King" with skill and creativity.

We can't wait to see where their growing musical theatre program takes them next!

With 36 schools, 64 languages, and 15,000+ students, we're proud to be 1 district that's on the rise.

Keep an eye on your mailbox for a new booklet heading to Kansas City families in the coming weeks 📬

Unique perspectives on some of Kansas City's favorite spots 📸

"Real World: Real Photos" is a body of work put together by Central High School art students.

They spent the year experimenting with self-portrait printmaking and went beyond the four walls of their classroom to the Anita B. Gorman Conservation Discovery Center and Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art to photograph.

These are just a few snapshots of what became a collective student photo book.
