🐝👑 SURPRISE ATTENDANCE DAY! 👑🐝

Queen B 🐝 (Principal Paul) made a surprise visit today to celebrate classrooms with 100% ATTENDANCE! 🎉💯

A HUGE congratulations to:
⭐ Mrs. Timoteo-Sickler’s Class
⭐ Mr. Mercer’s Class
⭐ Mrs. Dixon’s Class
⭐ Ms. Bynum’s Class
⭐ Mrs. Endencio’s Class

Each student received a special BEE sticker 🐝 that said:

“Thank you for BEE-ing here!” 💛

We love celebrating our students for showing up, being ready to learn, and making every school day count! 📚💯

🐝 Families, help us keep the buzz going! Talk with your student about the importance of being at school on time, every day, and celebrate them for showing up ready to learn. Together, we can make every school day count! 💛

📚💙 Lead to Read KC is Back at Melcher! 💙📚

Today was our first day of Lead to Read KC, and we were so excited to welcome our wonderful volunteers back to George Melcher Elementary! 🎉

Our students loved spending time reading, connecting, and building relationships with our visitors. We are grateful for each volunteer who gives their time to help grow a love of reading in our students. 📖❤️

Welcome back to Melcher! We’re looking forward to a great year of reading and learning together!

Melcher Families,

We are getting ready to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month in a BIG way! 🎉🌎

We’re sending our Hispanic Heritage Month Spirit Week flyer out early so everyone has plenty of time to get ready and join in the fun. Take a look at the flyer and start planning those outfits!

We can’t wait to celebrate the rich cultures, traditions, history, and contributions of the Hispanic and Latino communities with our Melcher students and families! ❤️

🎻 Orchestra in action at Melcher! I stopped by Mr. DeClue’s strings class today as students learned about clefs and the musical staff. Mr. DeClue even tried to put the principal on the spot with a music question—and I knew the answer! 😂🎶

🌟 Excellent math instruction in action in Mrs. Endencio’s 5th-grade classroom! Students used manipulatives, whiteboards, computers, charts, and their choice of strategies to tackle multi-digit division. Every student was engaged and on task! 🧮💚💛
