Charles “Cole” Wimes, 62, was last observed around the 3600 block of Summit St at approximately 7:19 PM on 09/04/2026. He was wearing a blue hospital shirt and pants. Calling all motorcyclists 🏍

We are hosting a free training on Saturday, Sept. 12. There is limited space. Training will be at the Regional Police Academy. This all-day training is for both beginners and experienced motorcyclists.

The training will provide participants with instruction and on-cycle drills to develop and improve downed motorcycle recovery, slow motorcycle operation, optimizing “Clutch, Throttle and Brake,” at speed counter steering, threshold braking, curve negotiation, and braking in a curve.

You must possess a motorcycle license/endorsement, or a learner permit equivalent, and a street-legal motorcycle.

(This is NOT a substitute for an accredited motorcycle safety course such as MMSP or MSF and does not substitute for a riding proficiency demonstration for Missouri DMV licensing.)

Bishop, Karen, 56, was last seen on 09/02/2026 around 5:15 PM in the 6200 blk of E 26th St. She was last seen wearing a blue and green shirt. Friends and family are worried for her well-being. If located, please contact 911 immediately or the Missing Person Unit at 816-234-5043.

Thanks to this trio’s alertness and action, a business burglar ended up in handcuffs and is now charged.

This is Sergeant Cisneros, Detective Bailey, and Detective Pearce from our South Patrol’s Property Crimes Section.

Late last week, Bailey was investigating a burglary when he spotted someone who appeared to enter and leave a closed business. His instincts told him he had come upon a burglary in progress. Calling Cisneros and Pearce, the three met at the scene, searched the area, and arrested the burglar nearby.

The suspect is charged with Burglary in the 2nd degree.

When officers tried to pull over a stolen vehicle last Thursday, three juveniles bailed on foot. Officers ran after them, catching and arresting all three. They also recovered these weapons, one of which was stolen.

Our Helicopter Unit helped our Rapid Deployment Squad, proactively looking for the vehicle, make these arrests.

About 90 minutes after this carjacker used a weapon to take someone’s vehicle, he found himself in handcuffs.

Officers, along with our Helicopter Unit, worked quickly to find and arrest the violent suspect this weekend. Charges are pending.
