“Begin. The rest is easy.” — George Jenkins

This powerful quote captures the spirit that led to the creation of Robert’s Place 10 years ago. Taking that first step—building a safe, healing space for children and youth in crisis—wasn’t easy, but it was necessary. Since then, hundreds of young lives have been supported, nurtured, and protected thanks to the commitment of our community.

Join us as we celebrate a decade of impact and honor those who believed in the mission from the very beginning.

Art possesses a remarkable power, often serving as a means to comprehend and interpret our emotions when words fail us. This practice is especially important for youth.

Join us in initiating a dialogue on mental health through art. We invite community artists aged 3 and above to participate in our stART the conversation exhibition. Express your emotions through your artwork, allowing your imagination to reveal what words cannot. Submit your entry for the exhibition by clicking the following link:https://bit.ly/wbhnstc2024.

Many families were affected by yesterday’s violent events, whether they were in attendance for the parade or not. It's crucial to recognize youth responses to trauma, as children and teens may have varying reactions.

Wyandot BHN has created two free printable resources for your use. One focuses on how trauma can manifest in adults and steps you can take to help you process what happened and move forward. The other printable shares information on common reactions among children and teens, along with ways you can offer support. You can view the resources here: https://bit.ly/3OLDBWe.
