Fourth graders are doing a hands-on activity with plants today! The first unit in their science curriculum is Plant and Animal Parts. Students first observe the different parts and structures of a plant. Then they describe or diagram how components of plants work together.

We loved welcoming our teachers back on Friday 💙🐾. We had professional development in the morning--thank you to the PHSD tech team for showing us how to use our new classroom technology. In the afternoon teachers got to unpack boxes and set up their "new" classrooms!

Husky Hal is hanging out with Stanley today! Did you know? Stanley is a therapy dog that loves to visit Hawthorn during the school year. He lives with the Harken family and is loved by everyone!
