Hey Whittier family! Our district has put out information about the new cell phone law for Kansas schools. Check it out!

Today (July 1, 2026), a new Kansas law takes effect that prohibits students from having or using cell phones and other personal communication devices during the school day, including during lunch.

To support a focused and engaging learning environment, any phone brought to school will be safely collected upon arrival and returned at the end of the school day.

The law does not include technology issued by the school district.

All of these changes will bring about lots of questions and concerns.

KCKPS has created a Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) page on our website with information about the new law and how it will be implemented.

T The first day of school is Wednesday, August 13the. We will again supply school supplies for all students and we will be able to furnish breakfast and lunch. We need everyone to access their Infinite Campus Parent Portal to registrar and fill out the Home Economic Survey. If you have any questions, feel free to contact the school.
