Another analysis of John Ewing for Omaha's mayoral victory that involved an astonishing 43-point swing to propel him to victory. Mayor-elect Ewing did not lose focus when attacked by the Stothert campaign on culture war issues. The opposition was banking on him taking the bait, but his focus on everyday issues of potholes, housing, and job development resonated with Omahans. That, his public service of 43 years, an eager ground game, support from the NDP and Douglas County Democrats - Nebraska all contributed to overwhelming support.

Congratulations to John Ewing, Jr. for defeating the Republican incumbent in Omaha's mayoral election last night! John will be the first American-American to serve as Mayor of Omaha.

We were lucky to play a small part, but we owe all the credit to the team at Nebraska Democratic Party for their work to help get John elected. TJP looks forward to continued success working with Democrats in Nebraska!

This week's election was historic for Jackson County. We are so excited to have elected as the county's first Black female Prosecuting Attorney!

When Melesa first launched her campaign, she was an underdog many believed could not win. We saw what many political opponents did not and helped Melesa win an unexpected upset victory in the Democratic primary before securing a final victory this Tuesday.
