Watching my niece Samaria Reed graduate high school was unforgettable. It definitely wasn’t a traditional American graduation, and seeing the Reed family seamlessly navigating life as bilingual globals made it even more special.

Hats off to my older brother, Gregory—you’ve raised an incredible young woman.

The film is absolutely fantastic—a powerful and necessary reflection on the Jackson family legacy. It is a definite must-see. 🕺🏾🎬

It was good to be back in the theater after a bit of a hiatus. 🍿 While I didn’t make it to LA for the official screening, I’m glad I was able to catch a private screening.

This victory belongs to you. Since 2011, it has been an honor to serve our community—first on the City Council and then as your MCC Board of Trustee member since 2020.

Tonight, I am humbled that the voters have trusted me for another six-year term. Being chosen by this community for over 15 years is a responsibility I carry with pride.

I have to admit, it’s always a surreal feeling seeing my own name on the ballot smh. Truly a humbling experience.

I humbly ask for your vote this Tuesday, April 7th. 🗳️

It has been an incredible honor to serve our community in elected office since 2011. Over the last 15 years, your trust has allowed me to champion the issues that matter most, and I look forward to continuing that work on the Metropolitan Community College Board of Trustees.

My commitment remains focused on:
- Workforce Development: Preparing our students for the jobs of tomorrow.
- Technology & Innovation: Ensuring our facilities and programs stay ahead of the curve.

Honoring the life and formidable legacy of Rev. Jesse Jackson.

My journey with him began post-college on the front lines of a “March for Peace” in DC. Standing beside him, I felt the echoes of the giants who came before us—a direct link to the fight for the soul of our nation.

From hosting him in Kansas City to our recent meeting at the DNC in Chicago, his dedication never wavered. We honor his memory by carrying the torch forward. The march for peace and justice continues. 🕊️✊🏾
