From diagnostics and engine repair to body work and refinishing, these students are gaining real-world experience while working alongside instructors who know the industry inside and out.

As their final project, our Multimedia students created recruitment videos for every program at Manual. From filming and interviewing to audio, graphics, and music, they handled every part of production themselves.

All summer long, you’ll hear directly from instructors and students across every pathway and get an inside look at what each program offers. From healthcare and engineering to culinary, automotive, construction, barbering, media, and more. There’s a place for every passion at Manual.

160 KCPS 8th‑graders spent two inspiring days at KU’s School of Architecture & Design for the KC Junior Jayhawks Architectural Design Camp! From hands‑on architecture and design workshops to exploring AI, VR, UX, and visual communication, our students dove into real‑world creativity while experiencing life on a college campus.

They discovered new skills, new passions, and new possibilities. Proud of our KCPS scholars for dreaming big and exploring future college and career pathways!

For the past 7 years, we have had the privilege of being led by an incredible leader whose dedication, vision, and commitment have left a lasting impact on Manual and our students.

As Dr. McNeil begins the next chapter of his career, we want to thank him for his leadership and for all he has done to support Career & Technical Education and the Manual family.

🎉 TOMORROW: End‑of‑Year Student Celebration! 🎉

Both AM and PM sessions will get the chance to kick back, relax, and celebrate the end of the school year. We’ll have food, games, drinks, and more. You don’t want to miss it!

As we wrap up the year, remember to finish strong because our Attendance Incentive begins Monday, May 18th. Every day students are present, they’ll be entered into a raffle for a $25 gift card, every day from May 18th to May 27th!

⏰ Arrival Times to Qualify:

AM students: Arrive by 8:30 AM

PM students: Arrive by 12:30 PM

Our Culinary Arts students, led by Chef Dan, are proud partners in the Food Hugs program.

Each month, they prepare full family meals for two elementary schools, providing educators with a ready‑to‑take‑home dinner after a long day of teaching. Their dedication and service make a meaningful difference for our school community.
