New Year. New Standards. 💪

The Air Force has introduced new Physical Fitness Assessment requirements, which will be implemented starting March 1. The new assessment reimplements the scored body composition component using the current Waist-Height Ratio program and introduces a two-mile run, up from 1.5 miles.

The frequency of these assessments will change, too. Airmen will be required to take their physical assessment every six months, regardless of their score.

The new standards aim to prepare Airmen for the demands of the future fight and ensure they have the tools they need to protect their long-term health.
