This past weekend, LUMA and our partners at Our Saviour Lutheran and International Students Inc. (ISI) welcomed 33 new international students to Kansas City through a Home Goods Giveaway. We are deeply grateful for all the volunteers who made this possible.

Please take a moment to join us in prayer for these and other international students across our country.

Lord of compassion and mercy, we lift up to you the hundreds of thousands of international students who are arriving in the US this month to study on campuses across our nation. Comfort them when they miss their families, guide them as they learn, and provide true Christian friends who will joyfully welcome them, answer their questions and share their faith in Jesus as the opportunities arise. We pray this in the name of Jesus who came and dwelt among us. Amen

Big news! LUMA is with The Hope Center KC are we taking 85 youth to Kids Across America , a high‑energy Christian sports camp that empowers urban youth through athletics, mentorship, and faith‑based leadership. Our Community Outreach Coordinator is on the ground all week. Stay tuned for stories, photos, and highlights from camp.

We are truly grateful for the Manheim Community Garden. Every Thursday, they bring us fresh produce to distribute at the food pantry, giving our families not only food but healthy options that support their well‑being. Their generosity makes a real difference in our community.

We enjoyed:
• The opening devotion given by Pastor Sanchez
• Discussing LUMA Auxiliary business
• The Installation of Officers
• Listening to guest speaker Doris Cannon, retired Lead Victim Advocate for Jackson County, MO
• Fellowship time while eating a delicious lunch
