Vazquez Commercial Contracting brought much joy to Faxon again this year. The kids were so excited and had a blast choosing two gift items from an incredible selection. We are so grateful! What an amazing company who supports the community!

Dear KCPS families and community,

The U.S. Department of Education has announced an unprecedented decision to withhold nearly $7 billion in congressionally approved education funding for the current fiscal year.

For Kansas City Public Schools, more than $4.1 million in critical federal funding is now frozen. These funds were already allocated to support essential programs and services that directly impact our students, families, and educators.

These are not just numbers on a page. These funds support adult learners pursuing new opportunities, educators committed to professional growth, and students working to overcome barriers and thrive in school.

We are actively exploring every possible option to protect the programs our families rely on, and we invite our community to stand with us in unity, advocacy and unwavering resolve. Our students deserve nothing less.

We will keep our families informed and engaged every step of the way. Thank you for standing with us and Kansas City’s children during this time.

Sincerely,
Dr. Jennifer Collier
Superintendent, Kansas City Public Schools
