American Coalition for Good Government - Kansas City

American Coalition for Good Government - Kansas City It is our vision to educate and empower American citizens to improve government. Deen Mohammed on “Community Responsibility”, in Charlotte, North Carolina.

The American Coalition for Good government (ACGG) was established in 1997 after a landmark address by Imam W. The event was attended by Muslim elected officials and political leaders from throughout America. The ACGG was created to engage Muslim Americans and people of good consciousness into the participatory democracy of the Untied States of America. Today the ACGG membership and affiliates are

engaged in every aspect of American society as responsible outstanding citizens. They are soldiers, judges, attorneys, academics, teachers, congressional representatives and average citizens working to make America “a more perfect union”.
* The ACGG believes in the oneness of G-d and in one human family.
* Independence and Universal Rights for all citizens.
* We believe in the sacredness of all life and the family as the foundational structure of society.
* We believe as human beings that we have a sacred connection with all other life. We believe all human beings should be afforded education, health care and a decent place to live in accord with their economic status and the opportunity for business ownership.
* We believe that a just government should support the human aspirations of its citizens and that a solely “free market economic system” is unsuitable for the majority of American citizens.
* We do not see building more prisons as the answer to crime in the various neighborhoods. We know that the Department of Justice offers solutions other than incarceration.
* We believe in responsible freedoms. The United States Constitution guarantees five (5) basic freedoms: Freedom of Religion, Freedom of Speech, Freedom of the Press, Freedom to Assembly and Freedom to Petition the Government. We believe that every citizen of the United States is responsible for his or her actions, however this does not take away from the needs of the young, the elderly, the disabled, the under-employed and the miseducated.
