5415 Garden

5415 Garden A community garden for residents of the Indian Mound neighborhood. The lot is owned and maintained by the Indian Mound Neighborhood Association.

In 2012, the Indian Mound Neighborhood Association acquired 5415 St. John Ave and transformed the vacant lot into a community garden. The garden is maintained with the help of donated materials and the work of its members and volunteers. Our mission is to create a space to promote community involvement and a healthy way of life. Membership
To become a member for the 2014 growing season, purchase a 4'x8' plot for $15 or a 4'x12' plot for $20. Contact the page administrators for more information.

Hello friends. I'm no longer connected to the neighborhood garden. Since it usually takes several corrections or edits to get a message across. I'm not posting or texting as often as I used to. The arthritic fingers just aren't getting it. However, I will still share and respond as much as possible on my personal page. I hope the folks managing the 5415 garden will take this page over.

I'd sure love to hear what's up at the 5415 Garden these days. I finally sold my property across the street on St. John in February. I'm hoping the new people will be a great asset to the community once they complete their slow move. They do have family already living in the area but it is a long distance transition. I'm always interested to hear what's new in the neighborhood. You are all some of the best neighbors anyone could hope for. Be good to one another!!!

Who is managing this 5415 community garden now? Can anyone take over this page and bring it up to date?

Hey folks! It's time to start thinking about 2021 gardening! Most of you know I have moved my gardening efforts to a new location and others are working together to manage the 5415 Garden. I do hope the new folks will join this page and start taking it over. You can message me if you're able to either start a new page or use this one. I'll help in any way I can.

I would just like to say that some of my best and most treasured experiences in cat rescue are with older animals. They still have so much to give.
