Community LINC Our mission is to end the cycle of homelessness for this generation and the next. A mix of staff and volunteers deliver classes in age-related groups.

Community LINC's mission is to end homelessness, impact poverty and remove barriers to self-sufficiency for the families we serve. Each year, Community LINC provides Interim and Immediate Housing to approximately 150 homeless families in the greater Kansas City area. Our vision is to end family homelessness in Kansas City by providing the tools and resources families need to break the cycle of hom

elessness. With the advocacy and support of staff and volunteers, our residents reduce or eliminate their debt, establish and maintain savings and work on life skills and self-sufficiency. Community LINC’s Children’s Program provides resilience and nutritional life skills training, as well as mental wellness services and academic advocacy and support. Our goal is to prepare children to live independent and healthy lives. Community LINC also provides Aftercare Services once families are in their permanent homes. This continued support ensures families will maintain their independence. Throwback Bingo was totally awesome! From the laughs and retro vibes to the fierce bingo competition, the night was full of fun, community, and big 90s energy. Best of all, together we raised more than $700 to help families stabilize and transition out of experiencing homelessness!

Our Mother’s Day Dinner at Community LINC was a beautiful evening for the incredible moms who live on our campus. The night was filled with encouragement, connection, delicious food, and an amazing cake that everyone loved (it did not last long!).

We were honored to hear from Nicole Gillespie, author and Community LINC board member, as she spoke about the power, strength, and impact of motherhood. Her heartfelt message made the evening even more meaningful for the moms we are so proud to celebrate. Each woman was also blessed with a personal care gift bag supplied by some amazing donors who wanted to lift up these moms.

Thank you to everyone who helped make this special night possible!

Our families had an unforgettable Day at the K, cheering loud, soaking up the atmosphere, and making memories together from the parking lot to the stands. From shared snacks to superhero-level fandom, it was one of those days that reminds us what community really looks like.

Our Easter Egg Hunt was egg-stra fun!

Kids took off running, baskets filled up fast, and laughter was everywhere. Eggs were hidden high and low, and somehow the kids still managed to find every single one. There were big smiles, excited shouts, and plenty of proud moments as everyone showed off their colorful collections.

It was such a fun day watching families spend time together and kids just be kids. Thanks to everyone who helped hide eggs, cheer them on, and make the day so awesome. We are already looking forward to next year!
