Bloch Law Library is located within the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law. Since our beginning, we have served the legal research needs of law students and faculty, the wider UMKC community, local bench and bar and members of the general public. The Law Library is a research institution and is available to those who need to perform legal research. Library staff is not permitted to g

ive legal advice, answer legal questions, assist with the preparation of legal documents or make legal determinations for public patrons. Members of the public who visit the library must conduct their own legal research and may not solicit legal advice from law students or other library patrons. Our library staff may be able to direct you to where resources are located in the library, provide basic instruction in the use of the Library’s catalog and electronic resources available to the public, and refer you to the services available at the UMKC/Legal Aid Self-Help Clinic.
