Until the buoys are installed (Town has hired a service) please navigate the lake as if they were in place and respect the slow no wake zone around the entire lake.

Also, keep in mind where the Hazard boys are placed. Two major areas - (1) exiting the County Park channel, behind the red channel buoys to the east. (2) the shallow rock areas ~100 yards out front of Penninsula Drive in the SW corner of lake. Thank you for your cooperation

After spring surveys, it was determined that Eurasian Watermilfoil was the most abundant invasive this spring and the lake would benefit greatly by targeting this species with a ProcellaCOR treatment. The map shows the four (4) areas around the lake that were selected for treatment, which occured on Monday, May 18th. Any questions please contact the Management District.

Leave the Shoreline Wild!

It may be tempting to clear out trees, shrubs, and natural vegetation along the water’s edge for a cleaner view—but those plants are some of the best protectors of our lakes.

Shoreline trees and shrubs help prevent erosion, filter runoff, reduce algae-causing nutrients, provide habitat for fish and wildlife, and keep water cooler and healthier. Fallen branches and natural cover also create important shelter for young fish, turtles, frogs, and birds.

A “tidy” shoreline often leads to murky water, shoreline erosion, and fewer fish.

Before you start cutting this spring, remember: a natural shoreline is a healthy shoreline.

Protect the lake. Keep the trees. Let nature do the work.

Due to very high water and flooding conditions Eagle Lake is currently under a SLOW NO WAKE order until further notice.
Not only does this protect shorelines and Riparian owners docks but is also best for the safety of boaters using the lake from floating debris.
