Pile driving at two bridge locations will be taking place starting today, September 16, through October 15.

You may notice some extra noise during this time. These activities are an important step in building strong foundations for the new bridges.

🚨 UPDATE for 🚨
The planned road closure at MP 12.91 on Thursday, May 22 has been canceled.

Crews will not be shifting the bridge to the detour road at this time. We’ll share a new schedule once it's confirmed.

🚧Road closure will be taking place at MP 12.91 on Thursday, May 22 between 7pm and 5am to allow for the shift of the bridge to the detour road. 🚧

⛔️No access will be permitted during the closure to allow the bridge to be moved. Please plan ahead. The road will reopen as soon as it's safe to do so.

⚠️Intermittent delays may be expected in the days leading up to the closure as crews prepare.

Bid Date: April 24 at 1:00PM AKST

Scope: The Organized Village of Kasaan invites sealed bids for the 25-002 Kasaan Area Bridge Projects Re-Bid material procurements, consisting of furnishing and delivery of Bridge Construction Materials for the following four bridges: Bridge 312+30, Bridge 233+60, Bridge 452+25 and Tolstoi Bay Access Road Bridge. Materials include three (3) prefabricated modular steel bridge superstructures and associated appurtenances.

Project Notes: Copies of the sealed Bids must be received (electronically or hard copy) by 1:00 PM AKST, April 24, 2025 at 4079 Tongass Avenue, Suite 206, Ketchikan, AK 99901. Proposal may be electronically submitted by email to [email protected]. Any bids received after the specified time and date will not be considered.
