Will be closing at 5:00 PM Wednesday, November 27th for the Thanksgiving Holiday. The Library will be closed November 28 & 29th and will reopen at 10:00 AM on Monday December 2, 2013.

Two new books just came in a few minutes ago. Which one are you more excited about?

We librarians have a way to attach a message to a specific book, so when you scan it to check it in, a message pops up on the computer. We usually use it to remind other librarians things about the item, like "Book damaged" or that a movie has "2 discs".

Today, I scanned in a book and the message on the photo shows up. This is a little creepy for 3 reasons:
1) None of us here wrote it.
2) The book it was attached to is by Stephen King.
3) 11/22 HASN'T HAPPENED YET!

Feel free to freak out a little.

Kid: "Please, grandma, read one more book!"
Grandma: "Don't you want to go to the park?"
Kid: "No, let's read more and THEN we can go to the park."
