4 more Houston County firefighters headed to South GA. The current crew we sent to Clinch County was relocated to the Brantley County Fire and have put in some amazing work but now it’s time for them to come home and get some much needed rest. Captain Burton and Firefighters Marcy, Mixon, and Rice will relieve them later tonight and take over.

A special thanks to Department Chaplain Alan Smith for joining us this afternoon to say a prayer over them prior to deployment!

Please continue to keep all the firefighters down there in your prayers along with all the families affected by these fires.

The Houston County 911 Communications Division is proud to maintain national accreditation through the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies (CALEA®).

As part of this process, a public comment portal is open for a limited time each year. This allows community members to share feedback regarding our service, professionalism, and compliance with CALEA standards.

Please note, this portal is managed by CALEA and is not monitored by the Sheriff’s Office for immediate response. If you have any complaints you wish to be address by the 911 center, please email Captain Veronica Edens @ [email protected].

The Centerville Fire Department, along with our partners from Warner Robins Fire Department, Perry Fire Department, Houston County Fire Department, and Peach County Fire Department, will be conducting a joint training exercise on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, from approximately 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM at the old Sears Auto Shop at the Galleria Mall.

This exercise will involve simulated fire and rescue scenarios designed to enhance teamwork, communication, and response capabilities among local fire agencies.
