New York just passed the Climate and Community Protection Act. This is a victory for activists and a huge step forward in combating climate change.

But at the last minute, Cuomo chose to weaken key labor and equity provisions and reduce the emissions reduction requirement to 85%. Not cool.

Transformative climate policy must be bold and intersectional. It must uplift workers and communities which are disproportionately impacted by climate change. That's why we fight for climate justice.
