Today's New Book highlight from the Youth collection is "What's That Building? An Architectural Guessing Game," by Rebecca Donnelly. In this interactive first book of architecture, children discover how architects design everyday buildings, from planetariums, aquariums, and airports to supermarkets and shopping malls, so that they best meet their users’ needs. Set up as a guessing game, the book presents clues that invite readers to guess which type of building is needed in 10 different scenarios.

Today's New Book highlight from the Youth collection is "Camp Out," Mike Petrik. Duck, Cat, and the gang decide to camp out at the far-out fort, where they gather around a roaring campfire to tell spooky stories. Duck spins a far-fetched tale about Scrambled Eggs the Possum, a local legend said to haunt the woods at night. Locals say he still haunts the woods around the fort, and to keep your lights low while out in the woods at night. Or he might just appear looking for his . . . SCRAMBLED EGGS! Campfire fun follows when, disguised as a possum, Jeff scares the s’mores out of the whole gang!

You can find it on the Cinco Ranch Branch Library Graphic Novel shelf in the youth area.
