🚂 Join Us for a Special Moment in Katy History!

On Saturday, June 6 at 10:00 a.m., we invite the community to the Historic J.V. Cardiff & Sons Rice Dryer for a special check presentation as The Dryer proudly presents the Katy Heritage Society with its first donation check from the proceeds of the ride-on train.

This milestone represents more than a donation—it celebrates a unique partnership that has flourished over the last five years between The Dryer and the Katy Heritage Society. Together, these organizations have worked to preserve, share, and celebrate Katy’s rich history while creating new opportunities for families and visitors to connect with our community’s heritage.

The ride-on train has become a favorite attraction for children and families visiting the historic site, and every ride helps support the preservation of Katy’s history for future generations.

We hope you’ll join us as we celebrate this exciting achievement, recognize the impact of this partnership, and look ahead to continuing our shared mission of honoring Katy’s past while inspiring future generations to appreciate the stories that shaped our community.

The Old Katy Farmers Market is nestled underneath the Historic J.V. Cardiff Rice Dryer. What started just last year with 4 vendors in a parking lot has quickly grown into a thriving market with 50+ local vendors.

Open every Saturday from 9AM–1PM, the market has become a staple in the Katy community featuring local vendors, fresh finds, food, drinks, and a space for the community to gather.
