A run to be proud of 🤘
Congratulations, Needville on an amazing journey at the Little League World Series.
We know getting to school has been a challenge for some since the very first day. We’re doing what we can to direct traffic and manually control the signals until timing adjustments can be made. If you encounter a significant problem area, please let us know and we’ll see if there’s anything we can do. Understand that in some cases there is simply nowhere to direct the traffic to so we stay out of it so we’re not part of the problem.

OUTDOOR BURN BAN IN EFFECT
Fort Bend County Commissioner’s Court approved an outdoor burn ban for unincorporated areas of the county during a regular scheduled session of court, Tuesday, August 8, 2023.
As the extreme heat continues and drought conditions progress, the risk for fire dangers increase. The Fort Bend County Fire Marshal’s Office has been monitoring the Keetch-Bryam Drought Index which is used in determining forest fire potential. The drought index is based on a daily water balance, where a drought factor is balanced with precipitation and soil moisture. The drought index ranges from 0 to 800, where a drought index of 0 represents no moisture depletion, and an index of 800 represents absolutely dry conditions. As of today, August 8, 2023, Fort Bend County’s index was 651.
After presentation of index values and the continued forecast of extreme heat with no rain, Commissioner’s Court came to a consensus that circumstances present in the county can potentially create a public safety hazard. The Declaration and Order Prohibiting Outdoor Burning in Fort Bend County states that no person burn or order another to burn any material outside of an enclosure designed to contain and capable of containing all flames, sparks, embers, cinders and ash produced by burning. Therefore, limits the use of open flames which includes burning trash, campfires, using burn barrels and any other open flame devices.
Congrats, Needville Little League! Good luck in the Little League World Series.

Speed is the number one factor in roadway crashes in Texas, causing one out of every three traffic deaths. When you speed, you increase the risk of death and serious injury in a collision. Precinct 1 Constable deputies will be stepping up traffic enforcement during the month of July. Slow down. Be safe. Drive smart.
Pull! Great job by Deputies Castillo, Markovsky and Steffen to clear Cinco Ranch Blvd after a storm this weekend. Special thanks to the resident who stopped to help and to Ms. Stokes of Cinco Ranch HOA for the enthusiastic video.
