Safe gun storage protects our kids, prevents accidents and keeps firearms out of the hands of criminals. Texas law requires firearms to be secured and failing to do so can lead to serious legal consequences. If a child gains access due to negligence, penalties range from a $500 fine to a year in jail.
To prevent tragedies, always store firearms unloaded in a locked container with ammunition kept separately.

Thank you for helping keep our students and community safe. #KatyISD
