Good luck to both Jordan High School Boys Soccer and Seven Lakes High School Boys Soccer as both teams compete at the State Tournament this week in an attempt to bring home 2 State Titles for Katy ISD.

Chief Gaw and Captain Nelson showed their appreciation for all the dispatchers yesterday by treating them to a mexican food fiesta for lunch in honor of National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week.
Deputy Chief Tabor treated the dispatchers to treats from Ooh La La Bakery Boutique for National Public Safety Telecommunicators Appreciation Week.
Katy ISD PD in partnership with the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) will be hosting its next Prescription Drug Take Back Event on April 30, 2022 from 10a-2p located at the Katy ISD Law Enforcement Center 20370 Franz Rd Katy, 77449. See flyer for more details.

Funeral services for Deputy Darren Almendarez have been set for Friday, April 8 at Humble First Assembly of God Church located at 1915 FM 1960 Bypass Rd., Humble, TX 77338. Public Visitation is from 11am-12pm. The funeral service will begin at 12pm.
Harris County Pct 7 Deputy Constable Jennifer Chavis paid the ultimate sacrifice. She died yesterday in the line of duty, after being struck by a suspected drunk driver. It saddens me to know how her life was senselessly cut short.
With so much appreciation to our 5th grade Read Deed Run Team at Shafer Elementary School. Thank y'all so much for the thoughtful cards for they inspire us to continue in our mission to protect the Katy ISD community and ultimately lets us know that our efforts are appreciated. THANK YOU!

We appreciate both Harris County Sheriff's Office and Fort Bend County Sheriff's Office coming out to train our officers today on the Project Lifesaver equipment which will greatly enhance our ability to quickly locate special needs students who have eloped from school.
“We are glad to be here & to collaborate with you all for Project Lifesaver, this search & rescue tool assists us in bettering our response to these situations.” We will be training Katy ISD Police Department with the assistance of Fort Bend County Sheriff's Office . With this partnership, Katy ISD PD will be equipped with Project Lifesaver equipment. This collaboration will assist families & individuals registered with Harris County Sheriff's Office & Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office who attend Katy ISD schools.
