Join us on TODAY Monday, February 17, at 4:30 PM for a captivating drumming performance by the Joy of Djembe Drumming Ensemble. This is a group of Houston musicians who share the joy of music, particularly the history of West African djembe drumming. They utilize a modern-day approach with a combination of ancient rhythms, traditional drumming, a world music to illustrate the spiritual gifts and healing that drumming provides on both individual and cultural levels. Meet Diane! She is a retired teacher who started visiting the library when her children were little and now uses the library to be a lifelong learner.
