CITY HALL AND MUNICIPAL COURT WILL BE CLOSED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE DUE TO THE WINTER WEATHER CONDITIONS.

We cannot stress enough how dangerous this winter storm may become this evening. We urge everyone that does not have an absolute need to travel to STAY HOME and off the roads. Before going out, be sure to check road conditions at www.drivetexas.org.

Protect the Four 'P's: People, Pets, Pipes, and Plants: Keep warm by dressing in layers and check on your elderly family and neighbors. Bring your pets inside! Bring plants inside or cover them. Cover pipes and drip faucets to prevent them from freezing.

WATER OUTAGE: If you are experiencing broken or leaking pipes at your home, turn your water off at your personal shut-off valve. Your shut-off valve is typically located near your water heater. If you are unable to turn off your personal shut-off valve, call our Public Works Department at 281-391-4820 and a water technician will come out and turn the water off at the meter.

POWER OUTAGE: If you experience a power outage, you can utilize CenterPoint Energy’s Outage Center at https://buff.ly/3rTwFJ3. For any tree limbs touching power lines or downed power lines, please call CenterPoint Energy at 713-207-2222. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO REMOVE THE LIMB OR POWER LINE YOURSELF. To help conserve energy, unplug devices when not in use, close windows and blinds, and adjust thermostats to 68 degrees or below.

For non-emergency assistance, please contact Katy Police Dispatch at 281-391-4848. For updates, please visit www.cityofkaty.com/winterstorm. Sign up for weather alerts at www.cityofkaty.com/KTAlert!
