Mission Week Kids Camp 2022 has come to an end! The children had a blast playing games, doing crafts and learning the Bible story of Joseph and discovering how God is always with us through obstacles in life. We were ecstatic to learn that 5 children made the decision to give their lives to Christ!

We are so grateful to all of our partners The Fellowship Living Stones Church Katy Grace Fellowship Church National Charity League, Inc. Kingsland Baptist Mens Bible study at The Bagel Cafe YMSL and Inf4College! These amazing organizations helped to make this event a fun experience for the children of the Sundown Community.

“How are you?” Did you know these three words can change someone’s day in a positive way when you ask and actively listen to them? As time goes on we get busier and we forget to have meaningful interactions with those around us. Or we have adapted to being alone from the pandemic we forget the impact simple conversations can make.

Today is World Caring Day, so lets start that domino effect of showing someone you care and turn their day around. We are told “give and it will be given to you” (Luke 6:38), so lets give our love, compassion, and support to someone God put on your heart to see the transformations that will start to happen.

Remember it is not about how big or small a gesture is, it is about just doing it.

We are so grateful for our teachers! Teachers always go above and beyond and the past few years have not been easier. As we celebrate Teachers Appreciation Week, please don’t forget to thank the teacher that has made an impact in your or your child’s life.
This Friday we have a great opportunity to serve our own teachers at Sundown Elementary with and we cannot wait.

Today marks the last day of this round of our You Can Academy. It was such a blast! YCA is our afterschool program that believes in providing a safe and positive environment for students. We focus on spiritual growth, academic readiness, and positive mentorship.
