Hello everyone, I am new to the neighborhood and loving it. I lost my phone yesterday so I thought I would check to see if the neighborhood had a page.
If you have any information, I would appreciate it so much. I have lost all my contacts and pictures. Thank you!
For today, we want to share one of our very own staff member's, Leslie Dedrick's story!
Leslie is currently the Director of Friends of Sundown in Katy, Texas. Leslie is a wife, a mother, a friend, a community resident, and so much more!
We invite you to listen to her story and what God has done in her life over the last few years.
And a very Happy Mother's Day to all of the mothers who constantly show up for their children. We hope you have a blessed day!
Is God calling you to join Him on a mission? Have you ever wanted to go on a mission trip? Well here is an opportunity right in your own backyard this summer!
Throughout the month of June, our locations around the Greater Houston area will have opportunities for you and your family, friends, and neighbors to serve alongside each other.
More information to come!

The Feed the Hunger packathon is one of Friends of Sundown's favorite events of the year! Last month, the students of You Can Academy after school program learned that helping those in need can both be fun and a rewarding experience.
๏ปฟThe students worked as a team alongside their families to pack hundreds of meal kits that will assist in feeding numerous at-risk children both locally and internationally.
Great job YCA! How neat is it to watch the youth serve and give back into their own community!
We would like to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas. This year in partnership with Willowfork Fire Department, Westlake Volunteer Fire Department, and The Scharff Group- Keller Williams Premier Realty Katy, the Chief Santa's Toy Drive was created for its first annual drive. Thousands of toys and stuffed animals were collected. With the support we received from the Oak Park Retirement Resort and the community, we were able to spread toys across Hope Impacts, Katy Christian Ministries/KCM, Friends of Sundown, Texas Children's Hospital - West Campus, Veterans Administration & HEB Military Families, and many Katy Area Families directly.
This holiday season, the best gift you can give is wrapped in empowerment and dignity! Friends of Sundown were able to bless a family with Christmas gifts after knowing the family had just arrived to the U.S. and they weren't sure how they would provide gifts for their children. Your support made this possible!
Our driving force is always empowerment! Our goal is to give individuals the tools to help themselves. We understand and believe that it is not about charity, but about development and dignity. This testimony is about more than just free Christmas gifts. It's about giving this family a hand up when hope is lost.
Together we've raised 42% of our $250,000 year-end giving goal! There is 9 days left in the year to make your tax-deductible donation by 12/31! Visit attackpoverty.org/donate
What an amazing turnout at our Friends of Sundown Christmas Market this past weekend! Tune in to the video for a beautiful testimony from one of the Sundown residents!
