Fred and Patti Shafer Elementary Shafer Elementary's doors opened in August of 2012. The school was named after Katy ISD leaders, Fred and Patti Shafer.

Shafer Elementary teachers and staff are dedicated to educating all Silver Knights focused on joy, wonder and inquiry.
