There has been some confusion about action residents need to take with KCAD to receive the benefit of the City of Forney's new Homestead offering. All residents that already have a Homestead exemption and the Over 65 or Disabled Person exemption will automatically receive the benefit they qualify for and do not need to take action with our office.

Unfortunately, with the recent adoption we were unable to have the exemption amount displayed on the 2025 Appraisal Notices. However, qualified residents will receive the benefit for the 2025 tax year.

The link below from our website shows the exemption amounts for all Kaufman County taxing entities.
