The mission of the Kaufman County Criminal District Attorney's Office is to effectively prosecute those who commit crimes, protect the victims of crime, and provide legal counsel for County officials as well as the Commissioners' Court. Pursuant to Article 2.01 of the Texas Code of Criminal Procedure, "It shall be the primary duty of all prosecuting attorneys, including any special prosecutors, no

In furtherance of this mission, the District Attorney's Office seeks to employ individuals of the highest integrity who are committed to excellence, fairness, and justice. I had the privilege of attending the Women in Criminal Justice conference in Galveston, an event that brought together over 500 women in the criminal justice sector. I had the opportunity to meet with a wide range of professionals, including deputies, officers, parole and probation officers, and treatment center providers, mostly from Texas but also from other parts of the country. It was an honor to be selected as one of the conference presenters.
