Basically, it will remain warm this week (it is summer), with some shower chances arriving out east. Thankfully, not everywhere, as the biting flies need to die. No water for them.

Kayenta Township Animal Control Update

‼️The calf’s owners have been notified, and the animal has been safely picked up.

A young black calf has been spotted on the east side of the Wastewater Treatment Plant, located outside the fence. The calf has a blue ear tag labeled “LUY.”

The Navajo Nation Rangers and the Navajo Nation Department of Agriculture have been notified. At this time, no other cattle have been seen in the area.

The Kayenta Township Fire Department will be hosting an American Heart Association CPR & First Aid Training on Wednesday, June 10, 2026, from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM at the Kayenta Township Townhall.
This course offers valuable instruction in emergency response and lifesaving techniques.
